Hi people,

Could anyone explain to me how I can adjust the chain on my Yammy YBR 125, don't have a service manual unfortunately.

Thanks

undo your spindle,
slacken off adjuster nut(s) all the way,
pull wheel back and make sure its straight,
finger tighten first nut so its lightly seated to swing arm,
then tighten nut 2 or 3 turns each side equally,
when you've tightened it with about 20-30 mm of slack (without your weight on it) tighten the lock nut up so the adjuster nut doesnt slip loose.
Very Happy Thumbs Up

20 - 30 cm of slack might make it slacker than in it is now Razz

meh, thats what it says for my fzr, then when i sit on it it goes hell loads tighter, but still with a bit of slack, u need the chain to have slack so its not always under strain, if it is under strain all the time, then your bearing will go faster, your chain and sprockets will run into trouble faster too and even your tyre will wear un evenly. Very Happy

another quick tip, when you've nearly done (dont leave it to late) sit on the bike and check the slack, if its got like 20mm (2cm) slack its good, but mght not be ok when your taking a heavy load or another person on (when you've passed test??) lol Very Happy
