The MOT is there for your safety, and I'm not sure I'd want to ride a bike which is doing either of those things.

Fair enough if you moan about the bike being a bit loud or the rear brake light switch doesn't work or something, but when it comes to issues which could potentially cause you to have an accident or die, wouldn't you rather get them fixed?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

If the vehicle's unsafe, it won't pass. Get it seen to - a petrol leak from the engine could easily turn into a fire.

But don't worry because if the bike bursts into flames before you get the petrol leak sorted you won't then need to worry about getting it MOT'd. Very Happy

mine drips out the overflow when I leave it on it's sidestand when it's got 3+ litres in the tank and I've not warmed the engine.

I think it's to do with the float or the needle in the carb. Oh well. Can't be fucked to fix it, I just lean it against walls and benches and shit all the time.

New bike soon <3

But the throttle not shutting is definately quite dangerous. Get that sorted ASAP. The needle can be sorted easily, I think. Depends on the bike and if anyone can get their hands on one.

Throttle return could well be something fairly simple, like the cable or grip needs some oil. If so the garage doing the MOT might be able to fix it for you fairly cheaply. It's a really bad idea to ride around with it like that especially on a ped with no clutch (i.e. if it jams open you can't just whip the clutch in).

Fuel leak sounds dodgy too, get it fixed unless you want your bollocks incinerated.

Mobylette mopeds don't have returning throttles and never had them.

when its in for its mot point out the leak and say "it leak" and give him a suprised expression, lol or put a match near it and convince him its safe. is the bowl screw in? if its fillin with ptrol, give it a good shake to get the needle valve movin. if all else fails send it to a mechanic.
