Just...won't...flick...

My boss got off with doing over a ton on the M4 this week. He basicaly employed some lawyers to postpone and annoy the courts until they gave up, they even had to pay his costs. So er if you've got cash or you are famous you can get out of it Neutral Smile

I know that was supposed to be tongue in cheek, but it was redundant. I follow this type of news, Jeremy Clarkson happens to be quite a public figure in the automotive industy and even though it's not something any driver could try, it's interesting to read Imo.

Would your response be different if it was Richard Hammond in the spotlight?

And I'm pretty sure Keith know's where, when and how to post on BCF Jamie. Rolling Eyes

No it would be the same.

If it would some one like rossi then yes it is "affecting biking"

Sorry, I dis-agree, Rossi doesn't affect biking, only racing but I see where your going. Clarkson is no different a figure to someone like rossi, except Clarkson is publicly bigger Imo.

He's alright, and if he despised bikes that much he wouldn't let Hammond or May even be on TG as they both ride bikes.

To be honest think he just plays it up. He says it and gets a reaction from people, so just says it some more.

All the best

The most sense I've seen in a while along with this:
Hetzer wrote:

Money and power doesn't buy balls, which is where the rub is at for these kinds of tossers.
So true.

I absolutely agree with kickstart. Jezza is (as are most celebs) a publicity seeker and being controversial brings him plenty of publicity not unlike Simon Cowell. Being nice doesn't hit the headlines, simple as. I obviously don't know Clarkson but I'd bet good money that his private opinions are not reflected in his public rantings. My own opinion of him is he's a fat, grossly overpaid loudmouth who gets to drive the worlds best cars and I'm not even a little bit jealous Sick (honest Very Happy )

Jeremy Clarkson (or Jeremy Walton even) is indeed the "Malcolm McLaren" of the Motor Industry, i.e. - "there is no such thing as bad publicity"

You've gotta love Clarkson. I think they should bring back his chat show. Mr. Green

I bet Mr Loophole worked for free on this case. Getting Clarkson off a speeding charge is doing his reputation a world of good!

I agree with Hetzer there:
