Sorry, I dis-agree, Rossi doesn't affect biking, only racing but I see where your going. Clarkson is no different a figure to someone like rossi, except Clarkson is publicly bigger Imo.

I absolutely agree with kickstart. Jezza is (as are most celebs) a publicity seeker and being controversial brings him plenty of publicity not unlike Simon Cowell. Being nice doesn't hit the headlines, simple as. I obviously don't know Clarkson but I'd bet good money that his private opinions are not reflected in his public rantings. My own opinion of him is he's a fat, grossly overpaid loudmouth who gets to drive the worlds best cars and I'm not even a little bit jealous (honest )
