IIRC

Castellane to Nice , to Castellane

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Castellane&daddr=Grasse+to:D2210%2FRoute+de+Vence+%4043.723030,+7.078940+to:D2210%2FRoute+de+la+Manda+%4043.766470,+7.193670+to:D2565+%4043.868750,+7.214410+to:Avenue+du+G%C3%A9n%C3%A9ral+de+Gaulle%2FD6202+%4043.948480,+6.990850+to:N202+%4043.956180,+6.688050+to:43.964156,6.495667&mrcr=6&mrsp=7&sz=10&mra=dme&sll=43.887006,6.752472&sspn=0.452308,0.933838&ie=UTF8&ll=43.886016,6.849976&spn=0.452316,0.933838&z=10&om=1

N85 down to Grasse, you want to stop going down to Nice where it gets busy and hot and the roads aren't so great just follow the route you'll hit the N202 the twin road gorge

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Castellane&daddr=D957+%4043.682010,+6.223260+to:D11+%4043.817230,+6.094310+to:44.010596,6.222382&mrcr=2&mrsp=3&sz=10&mra=mi&sll=43.851365,6.336365&sspn=0.452579,0.933838&ie=UTF8&ll=43.900861,6.351471&spn=0.452203,0.933838&z=10&om=1

Grand Canyon , including the bit where all the Lavender/Sun flowers are grown fairly slow (ie sub 80mph) scenic route

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Dijon&daddr=N5+%4046.754600,+5.913490+to:D27%2FRue+des+Vernois+%4046.668320,+5.767700+to:N5+%4046.492730,+6.035150+to:46.420819,6.010208+to:Saint-Claude,+Jura,+Franche-Comt%C3%A9,+France+to:D436%2FRoute+de+Saint-Claude+%4046.358820,+5.788940+to:A404+%4046.268370,+5.645220&mrcr=3,4&mrsp=4&sz=11&mra=dme&sll=46.368727,6.120758&sspn=0.216524,0.466919&ie=UTF8&ll=46.432178,5.971069&spn=0.432542,0.933838&z=10&om=1

Mount brilliant where I met the Brits, all roads around there are mountainous twisty and dangerous all roads around there are good, lots of hairpin climbs , dangerous though and weather is changable very easy to get lost

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Oyonnax&daddr=46.025575,5.517883+to:Chambery&mrcr=0,1&mrsp=1&sz=9&mra=dpe&sll=45.91506,5.81602&sspn=0.873253,1.867676&ie=UTF8&ll=45.855586,5.820007&spn=0.874185,1.867676&z=9&om=1

Onyeux to Chambery , the back route where you get to the lake this is where I was followed by a cop , it might have been the road to the left or right (it was criss crossed by train tracks)

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=D954+%4044.486800,+6.324580&daddr=44.710634,6.741486+to:Avenue+Aristide+Briand%2FD101+%4045.071460,+5.771660+to:D902+%4044.769900,+6.736880+to:D900+%4044.143680,+6.294410&mrcr=0,1&mrsp=1&sz=10&mra=dme&sll=44.755511,6.703033&sspn=0.445662,0.933838&ie=UTF8&ll=44.826656,6.339111&spn=0.890218,1.867676&z=9&om=1

Very scenic route , fairly fast gets very very narrow at some points , I stopped at Briancon for the night though , the route from Briancon would be very very good in the dry

Haven't got a clue where the mountain parts were done, but I do like that coastroad later on in the vid, and can think of quite a few places in Europe with very similar scenery.

The list of good roads seems like a good idea at first, but in reality you'd be daft to go touring with a list of roads to ride. All the best roads are in a few key areas(where the mountains are), and in those areas most of the roads are quality. Though saying that, whilst touring this year I did come accross a road which I had to conclude was the most fun and challenging I've ever ridden, which was Passo Bronco in Northern Italy.

The mountain passes look awfully like the roads around Arabba in the Italian Dolomites. I've been there cycling and I'm desperate to get back there on the motorbike... Miles and miles and miles of hairpins and mountain passes.

Here are a few photos I've robbed:

Ok I concede that , but hold on I don't remember any recent tour write ups of yours , other than the Bros to Cadiz tour and a few other short ones.

seen something very similar on the border between France/Italy near Swtizerland

EDIT maybe you should come with Ram_doom's trip next year around June? .

Current interests:

Ram_doom
McGee
Andy_C
Me
That guy in Saudi right now Quacker_boy
Maybe Res (still on L plates?)
Pos Trev
Maybe TobyR if we can teach him to corner quickly
and another CBR600FX, I currently forget who,

Though I probably peel off part way through and rejoin the main pack somewhere along the route. Or I may have two tours next year.

Well me and Gman were chatting about Touring on Saturday. I think we're both up for a trip of some kind. I've been dying to go touring since I got my little 125... Just never felt like my bike was suitable!

I'll have to wait and see what the plans are before I make up my mind.

a couple of the other 3 series coupe adverts that were fillmed by Amarillo for BMW's advertiding company were all shot in Romania.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was too.
