Just Downloading the now.

you should really use www.mediafire.com

No waiting times, no codes, no popups, fast downloads and uploads with great monitors, presented a and displayed really clearly and well.

only bad thing is, 100mb limit per file.

Let you know once I've heard. Thumbs Up

Ok. I listened.

Arrow Double time; it's seriously done to death now; it was annoying back when anyway and it's still annoying now.

Arrow Unless you're actually spittin' some lyrics, or reading out some shouts, best to stay quiet; nothing f**ks me off more than MCs that don't know when to let the music run instead of their mouth.

Arrow Articulate a little more fella, you're not all that clear.

Arrow Don't repeat, ever, you VERY rarely hear a pro repeat; it's like the hallmark of an amateur MC. Pretty sure I heard you do it.

Arrow Do more than just chat; best MCs I've heard have been lyricists, they'll come with a story, or at worst some innovation, not just crowd hyping one liners.

Arrow Roll out with more than a few bars worth of material at a time, make 'em feel when you start you're not gonna stop 4 bars on, make 'em feel it's worth listening up when you start.

Arrow DJ needs to learn to add some variety and stop mixing in key for a whole set.

Aside from all that, you've actually got plenty potential, so keep it up fella.

Thumbs Up

Well you defiantly know what you’re on about, and I’ve taken the points in.
The double timing I guess comes from when I started MC’ing, it’s not lazy for me, it’s my style, I think in all honesty I used it on that mix is a suitable way. I don’t do jungle and I don’t do stories really, but I think I could drop some in. Thumbs Up

I think for the first set it’s alright, not entirely impressed with any of my recordings due to there being no real energy in there, when MC’ing in a room it’s a bit strange for me. Always room for improvement I guess, the next set won’t be recorded late Sunday night. Wink

Edit:- Just realised i could have taken that as....

Don't like the speed
Don't like the sound
Not clear enough
Lyrics aren't great
Not enough chat
Too much chat
Dj's a bit ropey

Confused

Double timing is fine, it's part of most MCs arsenal, but doing it constantly, well there's already bare MCs out there doing that, and it's had it's day for me.

Doesn't have to be a full on tale of something, but you used to have Skibba D would roll out a set of lyrics based around cars, or think the fellas name is Stamina MC, really innovative, or listen to this guy
https://www.myspace.com/wintermc and listen the 'hypertongue and winter' track, or
https://www.myspace.com/hypertonguemc and listen to the 'Hyper Tongue Winter'
They're coming with a slightly different angle to the wafflers on Kool FM and elsewhere, and to be fair, D&B needs some fresh quality MCs.

You coulda done, but if you look at other threads, I'm more than blunt enough to just tell you you're s**t if that's what I meant.

I will when I get some back, seemed to have run out.
I’m by now means a new skool sound. Not one to blow my own trumpet, but I do a lot better live and can get a crowd hyped. From the live sets I’ve been booked for Lacota in Bristol for a pretty large night. Studio work is tricky, Im concentrating to much on how much noise I’m making and don’t want to drown out the track.
I will incorporate more slow, lyrically technical stories, never been a fan of doing rap style, but I see that it has potential. Thumbs Up
