Just got my new bellypan back from the painters. Got it on Ebay and had it painted, total cost bellypan and paint job was £72.

Bellypan £42 and paint was £30.

Snaps below. Any comments ?

Looks nice, but they both do... Thumbs Up

Noob question:
What does a bellypan do?
Purely aerodynamic? Looks? Air intake?

Could be aerodynamic but I mainly like the looks, also seems to keep muck away from the underside of the engine.

It's almost purely cosmetic. It comes from when racers and people on the track had to have something to catch any oil that leaks so that it wouldn't go onto the ground. It just caught on as a styling thing too and now with holes in the bottom they don't even do what they were designed for in the first place!

I like them though.

I thought it had nice lines and matched the lines on the tank.

The new one is hot. It fits far better with the lines and style of the bike; rather than the old, bulky out-of-place one. Money well-spent.

My bellypan was a dog to fit, the fitting kit was a universal type and took a couple of hours to fit properly.

Louise, did you manage to get it fitted.
