Hi guys my name is Gavin and i passed my direct access test on 4th sept which i was extremly pleased about as u can imagine,

Now for my question ive been offered a Kawasaki GPX 600 R for my 1st bike but theres a problem with it the bike needs a new starter clutch :S im sure i could probably fit one but i would like to know if u cans till bump start the bike with this nackered :S and also are they a pain in the arse to fit :S

What do u think this would be like for my 1st bike i live a few hundered miles away from my family so my plan to get a bike that would be happy to go up and down the motorway ? Would this be a good bike for that and would it be a good bike for a novice

Welcome, Gavin.

My experience of Starter Clutches is almost zero, but I see no reason why you couldn't bump it. Best ask in the Workshop, though, or wait for someone more knowledgeable to come along.

edit: and congratulations on passing your DAS Very Happy

As most of us on IRC said, get it. You could easily get it fixed at some point.

Might be your best bet: https://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum/archive/index.php/f-14-p-6.html
