fastest Bikes? Best Looking Bikes?
Fastest Bike? Tricky question their are many out their the legendary R1, or the NINJA.. but what about the suzuki Hayabusa
GSX1300R of course the hayabusa isnt the best looking bike? i think.. what is?

to be honest this will depend on the person but i believe the best looking bike has to be the ducati 1098 or 999 model its just the back of the bike beautiful...

Saw an R1 outside the gym the other day.
Looked nice in black.
Like the whole exhausts under the rear seat and stuff, very nice bikes.
Sure they arent the only ones that do it though.

Nice lookin bike.. speciali the new on tha cumin out 2008.. they started to put the exhausts under the rear seat as well.. looks nice..
but compared to the old one well this is what i hear from people they use to be a real death trap if u had on it was just to fast for people to control.. i dnt kno like to hear other people opinion on that? |

Not so much classic as comfort and simplicity. I prefer an upright riding position, but have too short an inside leg for nearly every trail style bike on the market, and I like my bikes to be as user friendly as possible. If it has umpteen cylinders, umpteen valves per cylinder, fuel injection, ABS, throttle sensors, emission regulators, digital clocks, catalytic converters, shims, power valves and all the other stuff that isn't actually needed on a bike, it puts me off. I like to be able to service a bike with a screwdriver, hammer and molegrips

well with classic comes simplicity.. of course not all the time but dont you think that the modern applicences that they have add to bikes help the bike? for example with simplicity can cause problems? dnt u think dnt get me wrong a nice simple bike will save me money on services and if the electic go it still means i can ride the bike... |

Yes the 848 is almost identical to the 1098 I think, which is perfect for me as I don't want an 1100cc bike straight from a 500! But I do want the awesome looks, performance that's comparable to a 600cc Inline4 bike and the sound of a twin .
The 999/749 is a very nice design, don't get me wrong, but I preferred the older 916/996/998/748 design. Single sided swingarms look fantastic and twin headlights look better than singles IMO. |
to right ur never goin 2 go that fast on road.. yh thought the 848 is similar to the 1098 model.. what bike u riding at the moment i just cant wait to be 21.. riding a aprilia 125 rs its alright but the power is just not their got 73mph out of it goin down hill which is a piss take.. but want to get a 600cc bike when im 21... |

No, I don't, from my point of view. I'm happy with locknut and screw for valve adjustment, why should I need shims? I can't make them myself, so I either have to buy a selection or make trips to a shop if I need to adjust the valves. How does a catalytic converter improve my riding experience? Why, if I'm happy with the performance of a carb, do I need fuel injection and all the associated expense that goes with it? What's the point in a digital console that probably has more processing power than my first computer, when a simple speedo/tacho does the same job?
I'm not a complete Luddite though, I know I prefer those new fangled "disk" brakes to drum ones. Only on the front though

Other than electronic ignition using discrete components versus points ignition, when can simplicity cause problems?
