First of all I'm turning 18 in a few days, weigh about 60kg. Never get into fights. Just try to imagine me...
I was on a friend's bike carrying an extra helmet for my girlfriend, and I stopped at a petrol station. About 20 seconds later, walking to the queue, about 10 bikes with chavs came. They were all pretty loud, and I was feeling uncomfortable. I was nicely dressed, shirt, new jeans, the typical one they'd go for.
Suddenly a guy goes from behind: Hey bro, how bout we switch helmets? This one's 300 pounds in a shop, I'll sell it for 150 and your helmet. (the one he was carrying was a busted up open face nolan helmet...) I said no thanks I'm happy with mine.
He said well I'm not so happy with mine and started tugging on my helmet. I pulled it away from him and pushed him telling him to back off.
He was like give me the damn helmet! He raised his in the air and threatened to smash my head in with it.
This is where I started getting real nervous. I've only really been in a fight once, and I've never been hit. Not once. I knew I could take him on though, cause I had one helmet to block with, and the other for hitting. I was backing up all the time pushing him, and thinking why the fuck aren't people helping me? (about 6-8 adults in the queue)
Sure, I could hit him, but he had like 10 guys for backup, and they'd end up taking everything I have, maybe including the bike.
Suddenly some guy came (looked about 18) and asked what was going on. The situation calmed down and he told me he wasn't gonna fight for a helmet, but if not I'd be dead.
I had to go and fill up with all of them all around.
Got to my girlfriend still shaken up.
I think he expected me to give up, but got nervous when he was I was gonna put up a fight?...
If I see this guy alone, should I teach him a lesson?

The problem is my rs is getting the sprockets and chain put on(too long so they have to cut it, did the rest myself).
I was on my friend's 50cc scoot.
Anyone remember I was in a car accident where my friend bumshagged 2 of my other friend's on their bikes with his car?
Well this is one of the bikes. It's a mess, exterior and interior. Top speed of 35mph. In spain it's legal to destrict, so most scoots do about 60mph, and theirs probably had big bore kits etc. All looked pretty tuned.
It's a really big market down here. Basically if you're rolling on an original 50, it's either cause it's new, or because you suck...So immature

One would suggest possibly asparagus and a full-bodied cabernet sauvignon to be served with nose...

It doesn't surprise me that the adults in the queue done nothing - it really is a twisted world in which we live.
I dunno if anyone would start on me while I was out on the bike - my jacket makes me look huge.
Big Thumbs Up to the guy who helped you though.

Here's my 2penny worth. I worked as a door person for about 4 years in my younger days, this remember was the time before the door safe "please move out of my pub" attitude. Most of my colleagues had the attitude hit them kick em out attitude and more often than not got in to real scrapes. My team member (Mark) and I would use the more assertive way. Look them in the eye and with a raised but assertive manor say MOVE AWAY NOW do not stop looking in there eyes use a full frontal stance with 1 foot slightly in front of the other and feet apart. If no response hold your arm up and put your hand a couple of inches away from the aggressor and repeat MOVE AWAY.
As long as you show your calmness and the person will back off Well usually. using this tactic in night clubs worked for us. On rare occasions we had to use force but nt often.
I will add I am 5 foot 6 inches tall (or short) but pretty wide.
Hope you never need this advice but remember it
Tony

Glad your alright m8 you will alway's get fanny's like that i am afriad. Best thing you can do is not look scared, its hard but if you show your not scared you find a lot of them are just big mouths and can't back it up.

See, i hate people like this actuallym ive been thinking about it.

I ride a GPR50 with L plates on as ive only just turned 17, and i nod to other bikers, chavs dont nod back and a handful of big boy bikers do, i dont think its fair how people place teens with L plates into a sterotypical field.

Just my say...

No offense mate, but that's nowt like where I am, I regularly get the nobs kicking footbals at me & the bike, trying to kick me off, throw pushbike's in my path and to be honest, you gotta show 'em or they will never leave you alone. Only friday just gone I went to my bike after work and some bastids had ripped the wiring loom out, I am hoping someone braggs off about it, I'm not the biggest of lads either, but I've learnt through experience to hold my own, usually when you twat the biggest/leader, the rest back up and don't think it's worth it.

in a 10 + fight you'd be dead unless you have something lethal in your hands and the chavs'd be out of prison in 6 years easy....

maybe you should carry about a baseball bat/cricket bat (balls and gloves too) for self defence, the balls and glove give you cover... cop stops you ,,, you just came back from a play in the pack. a guy with a bat is alot more intidating than your bare hands,

OR carry your bike tool kit around with you everywhere, I'm pretty sure if you got bum rushed you'd be able to get a screw driver into various eyes and ears before you were eventually killed.

EDIT

I've got a story about this , lunch is nearly over tell you when I get home...

We've had a few threads that this has cropped up on.

My thoughts on it:

The trouble is, human nature dictates that we 'pre-judge' everyone we see.

For example:

Arrow I see a middle-aged man with a beard wearing tweed, perhaps I pre-judge him as being a dull real ale drinker.

Arrow I see a young woman carting assorted unruly kids through a council estate, maybe I pre-judge her as a slapper single mother on benefits.

Arrow I see a group of young men/teenagers dressed in casual clothing and being loud and lairy, I DO pre-judge them as being n'er-do-wells (or chavs, if I must say it)

Some of the judgements we make will be unfair and unjustified, often based on ignorance or fear. However it remains human nature to do so.

The first two examples, I may only judge them subconsciously, and I won't think anything of it.

HOWEVER, the third example would be very consciously thought about, because fear and suspicion are factors. My safety has potential to be affected.

So I will avoid walking past these intimidating groups. I will double check my bike and flat are secured if I see them hanging around. I'll prejudge the fuckers for my own damn safety.

That doesn't mean I would see young MoshizZ on his GPR and think 'little chav twat' purely because he's a youngster on a 50.

No, not all teenagers are violent, thieving, scummy little wasters. (I certainly wasn't!)

But the ones that are, whether they are the majority or not, will always cloud our perception of that group as a whole.

Purely because it's our peace and safety that is at stake.

If you get really aggresive and start doing wierd stuff often they back down. A friend of mine got out of a fight with 6 blokes outside I night club because he started shouting and punching himself in the face. Laughing I tend to be really bold and wideeyed with a slight smile. Most of the time they seem to realise that a big guy with a smile that isn't afraid generally has something up his sleve. If there doesn't apear to be a away out go for one and keep going as long as you can on that one person you might get a kicking but at least one of the will remember it.

But if you do get into a situation like that my advice is act wierd, it will confuse them and won't be so sure with what they are dealing with.

The reason nobody does anything anymore is because people now adays are far more selfish imo, but I don't blame them as you a often hearing about some have a go hero getting stabbed and what not.
