Bit of a boring rant about a niche subject which most of you don't care about, but here goes:

There was a video posted on here a while ago featuring a Yank being tazered by several 'Campus Cops' after refusing to show his ID.

There's now been a similar incident at an event with John Kerry. (https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7001464.stm)

From what I can see, they had the guy under restraint and pinned to the floor, and he was only offering passive resistance. They Tazered him because he refused to roll over onto his stomach to make it easier to cuff him.

Are American police really so arse that they haven't been taught the skills necessary to flip the guy over or bring him to a position where he can be safely put under mechanical restraint? That's basic everyday stuff for me, and I'm hardly a hideously dangerous ninja of death - and neither are most of my staff.

You'd think that - given the number of cameras and ex-presidential candidates bowling about the place - they'd have been a little more subtle!

Except that they've learned, as have the police here, that they can perpetrate such acts with absolute impunity. I was watching a video earlier today where a cop gratuitously shot a man in the head (unaware it was being caught on CCTV) and killed him, lied about the entire scenario, but was backed by his bosses and the investigations that followed, despite the fact that all these people had by now seen the video.

They then tried to suppress the video. Finally a serious investigation found the cop guilty of multiple offences...so he was promoted.

Once the police learn that there is very little chance of consequences for criminal behaviour, even when that behaviour is caught clearly on camera, they run amok. As they have been doing in the USA for many years, and are doing here, albeit to a lesser degree (you have to be carrying a table-leg in a carrier bag, or be mistaken for a suicide bomber, before they'll blow your innocent ass away in the UK. And then escape all and any consequences for it).

They're about to be issued tazers here, so I suggest everyone brace themselves for a whole new gigantic tsunami of abuses, brutality, 'accidental fatalities' and other outrageous acts of barbarism.

Campus police are cops that never made it Laughing

Cops here are power abusing ass holes.

They have little man syndrome.

State troopers are the worse think they are f*cking elite and you should worship them. They all think they know better. They abuse there power at any moment. Even if you show them respect they show none back.

The legal system in this country is so corrupt its unbelievable. When I was in court on Monday for a load of charges. I was let go for 76.50 as I had spoken to the D.A previously. It would appear that little town courts kangaroo you through it. For the cop it was his word against mine no proof, thats how I got out of it. I was entitled to a trial by jury or a bench trial which basically means the judge decides if I'm guilty or not so I took that one, it's nice knowing people thats for sure Wink

But there was one guy who's fine was 500 he then said to the judge I have only got 250 the judge said "Ok not a prob pay your fine and leave, next case"

Guys that get these sport bikes don't get them to drive slow. I cite them when they break the law. I don't make stuff up. BUT I don't give them breaks ...... call it a sport bike tax.

Utter fucking wankers. Just reading it will piss a lot of you off. I like the one post in there where the cop says it should be legal for us to just shoot them off the bike or knock them off and kill them.

Evil or Very Mad Pah show them no respect.

!

there is a theory which states that police forces intentionally hire people who don't score highly on various tests, the theory is that as they are less likely to get bored and quit thus wasting expensive training, sort of like the RAF a few years ago where a woman pilot cost tax payers 2.5mil then got preggers.

It also makes them less likely to hold decent moral values and question illegal orders.

Its NOT all bad news though :

Precis, Bolton cop caught kerb crawling on duty taking a prostitute for her services , receiving said services and refusing to pay

old 2004 story though he quit before anything was done to him .
