Ok, how bad does a wobbly wheelie look?

Basically ive got no money until i go back to uni (which is only on saturday anyhew) and my tyres well and truly lethal.

Its still legal scarily, but the bastard tried to highside me off and attempting kneedown is a complete no go (i remember doing it before i left for zakynthos when it was warm, and the bugger stepped out a good foot while i was down) so im left with wheelies to give me abit of a giggle before i go back (6 weeks bikeless remember, and i wont get another play until christmas now).

I'll buy a new tyre (and downgeared C + S for that matter) ready to sling straight on at crimbo.

Anyhew i've been doing some massive wheelies recently up and down the duallies when im going places. But ive noticed occasionally it starts trying to wobble. It still feels reasonably stable but i usually put it down anyway. But theres a straight after some lights down here that was completely empty, and i hit the lights BANG ON the Amber with a big group of cars behind me, so banged it up. Kept it up for the whole half a mile or what not, but this time it really was lurching about on the tyre (with abit of wind too).

Whilst i usually dont care what they look like, i am curious. How obvious is it from an observer if a wheelies being battered about by shit tyres/wind? And any vids knocking about?

Provding you have the skill to control it wobbling around, and can straighten it back out, it looks ok, but if you wobble lots and drop it, sure you look a bit cack lol.

What size is your rear tyre? I have an almost brand-new 180/55/17 (Michelin Pilot Power) that's been professionally plugged (had a tiny puncture hole in it) which you can have gratis if you like (you'll need to pay a tenner postage though).

As for the wheelie i didnt drop it and i carried it high as (road was clear so didnt mind obscuring my view abit more) for like i say, about a half km-km (not sure... takes ages to walk this road and i cleared it).

Just was getting abit of weave on, and im always mindful to try not to look stupid. My intention isnt looking cool, merely not looking stupid
