Fastest road-side help ever?

I was on my way to Gedges in the car this morning and saw a guy on a brand-new Bonneville at the side of the road, shaking the bike from side to side. I got out and asked him if he needed any help and he said he was on his way to Gedges for the bike's first service, the engine had died and he couldn't start it. I knelt down and put his tap to 'Reserve' and it started after five seconds on the button.

Total time, approx 45 seconds.

Bet he felt glad you found as apposed to actually making a call out.

Easy mistake if you have got a new bike but i thought that would have somthing he would have checked. Well done for stopping and helping the guy out.

Well i was on my reserve tank a few years back and i was taking it rather slow (30mph all the way with a bike fast enuf to go 80mph so i kept it slow) so i could get to the nearest station with a cash point so i could withdraw money out then baaarrrrrrrrrrr conk....... the bike ran outa petrol. Cursing myself i started pushing then after 2 minutes of pushing a biker on a very nice bandit pulled over to see if i needed a hand with the bike.

To cut a long story down i ended up parking my bike up jumping on the back of his and he tok me 2 the juice station to borrow a can to fill with petrol to take back to me bike....... do get sum very helpful people around, alot of people would just speed past them not bothered at all!

Well I have a funny.....

Cruiser type bike parked at the side of the road in the middle of a long country lane near to bridgnorth.

I saw a guy standing their, pulled over and asked him if he was ok and if he needed any help etc.

He said "no mate, the bike is fine but my open faced helmet bowl type helmet blew off my head whilst riding and is somewhere in these bushes but I cant find it"

Doh.

Not sure really, never saw his helmet.

But you would assume that if it did have a strap it was not been worn.
