Earlier on in the year I bought some aldi waterproof bike gloves when they had bike gear in.

I couldnt find my alpinestars waterproof gloves this morning so I gave the aldi gloves a go.

I have just ridden 12 miles in heavy rain and they havnt leaked at all! And to be honest they were a little to warm, for a £14 pair of gloves so far I cant fault them!

May have to pop into an Aldi or Lidl before too long as I want one of those tank bags again (sold the last one on eBay for more than its RRP Laughing).

I need some new winter gloves too Thinking

While the gloves remained mostly waterproof through some abuse last year (coming back from weston at high speed in pissing rain they didn't hold up perfectly) - the lining has started to come away from the outside.

Think I've had a low speed crash in them at some point and they did ok too.

Definitely good value for money, if not quite a top-notch product.

I have Lidl textiles, others wearing very expensive named gear suffered leaks and ended up with wet fronts and legs, my cheap stuff - no leaks and I was bone dry!

You and your picaxes. Rolling Eyes Laughing

I also got the £15 tankbag, still going strong and no faults. the battery charger didn't live up to our weather though, did it say waterproof on the box? Laughing

Got a couple of sets of their gloves over a year ago, bought 2 pairs because they were really comfortable. Still on my first pair at the moment, which are 100% waterproof aslong as you tuck them under your sleeve, and warm too, easily comparable to my old £35 (discounted from £75) Kushitanas.

I've got a battery charger from them. It's working like a charm.

Use it for the jump starter.

Ive used a pair of lidl textile trousers for all weather riding for about a year now. They are still completely waterproof. Over one year of daily use, the only problems have been breaking of the little plastic tabs on the end of the side pocket zips and tearing off of those little cloth loops that hold the inner thermal insulating layer in place. Neither of these have prevented me from using them. The insulation is top class, keeping me warm on 45 mile sub zero commutes in the middle of winter. The finish may not be the best in the world, but the quality is excellent, and the price makes it a complete no brainer. No more branded textiles for me, unless they are ridiculously cheap.

On the subject of gloves, I have been using a pair of held gloves (bought for 55 quid) for about 6 months, and they are by far the best pair I have ever bought. They are still waterproof. The lining does not pull out, and I love the rubber visor wiper on it. The best part is that the insides do not make your hands stink after several months of use. I have been impressed with techniks gloves in the past, but I think Held is much better for daily use.
