My friend's bike got stolen the other day and his father pulled a cable out from the engine casing and said he did not need it Confused

Ive drawn a very rough diagram can anyone identify?

edit: the white end i think goes into the battery and the other end said Jialing CG-125 which i guess goes into the engine.

Thumbs Up

Hi

I agree with lllN30lll, thats the eletrical contacts from the bottom of an ignition switch.

All the best

WOOHOOO I actually said something useful on BCF at last. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Laughing

you can "hotwire" a lot of bikes simply by just unplugging the ignition barrel, it works especially well on the chinky bikes.

if he doesn't then your ignition is basically on all the time and anybody could start it.

me and Dom_ off here stole my brothers bike by unplugging his barrel. we gladly put it back after a few wheelies.

Does this bike have an indicator to tell you what gear your in? 1.2.3.4.5.
It could be the switch for this if you found it in the area of the front sprocket.

Agreed. If its from near the engine then it could be a gear indicator plate. Some of the GY based models have it fitted some don't. If it reaches the handle bars then its the bottom of the ignition barrel but I'd go with the gear indicator.
