Loving the 750 whats the spec ?

Just browsed all the torrents for GSXR's and couldn't find one on the 400 sorry Crying or Very sad

And loving the idea for the lucky strike paint job.

basically built this bike starting with a pile of bolts and then from the ground up
unfortunately at the moment she is only a 600 as im running a 1988 gsxf engine in her pretty much stock except for the cam link pipes crankcase breather its running a set of flatside carbs on foam pod filters it has a cold air feed from the scoop wich is blasted back to the carbs and i have a set of yoshimura carb covers on the way to stabilise the airflow around them
https://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/bigbike-r/yoshsc.jpg
as its not running a standard airbox it has a catch tank mounted under the seat
https://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/bigbike-r/Image031.jpg
electrics have been tidied and repositioned under the tank
https://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/bigbike-r/Image033.jpg
stainless exhaust system since the last one rotted so much it cost me a new head as the bolts in the headers stuck stiff and was gonna cost more to have them drilled and re-tapped - and i dont like anybody but me working on my bikes Evil or Very Mad
https://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/bigbike-r/Image030.jpg
https://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/bigbike-r/Image002-8.jpg

https://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/bigbike-r/Image005-15.jpg

the fairing is from a 1986 model and i smoothed out the corners and the seat unit is from an ex race slabby but i modded it to sit higher and chopped it back slightly right now im wotking on fitting a head cooler ive just sourced a set of yoshimura connectors and possibly all the hoses and a cooler though i may use an old gpz cooler this is the setup
https://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/bigbike-r/sp11002.jpg
this is the bike i took a lot of inspiration from
https://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/bigbike-r/jy11001.jpg
and of course revin kevins old tornado

well that should keep you busy in pics for a while anyway lol

I've got the manual for the GSXR400 but it's 292mb - I only have it saved on my work PC (lost the disc!)

If someone can tell me how/where I can upload it for people to get at, I will do so!!

I think the english ones are only for the 71B, because that was the only official UK bike. Don't quote me on it though. Laughing

Hmm, not sure. I used it for the 73a, I do remember there was loads of pages on the 71 models. Manual is in english, parts diagrams are jap but you can read the part numbers ok.

do you know what will fit in that frame easily-ish?
because of the carbs ( its inline 4 but runs 2 carbs) nothing much will go in there and looking for a gk71f motor is like looking for rocking horse poo... seriously need to open my options as to what will fit in there... been thinking of the rgv250 motor but not sure how difficult its gonna be to mount it in and get the sprocket aligned etc

Aha, the old dual "shotgun" carbs.

You already have a set?? I'd sell them and try to butcher something else to fit.......
