Firstly let me say HI !! to everyone on the forum.
I've recently passed my CBT and I'm looking to get my L's off as soon as poss, I have a passion for bikes but no technological knowledge what so-ever.
It would be much appreciated if you could lend me a hand.
I bought my self a very, very tidy 06 RS 125, looks a treat. But here are the problems. My manual states that it's a 6-speed but I can't find higher than 5 and my exhaust expels a odd amount of oil all over my back plate and drips from the end.
This one could just be user error so to speak but every now and then when I go to pull away from lights or a junction it hit's 8mph and just die's out. I thought maybe I flooded it on these occasions
I didn't fill like looking the fool in the shop so I thought I'd try it here first.
Cheers. |

nope dont ever do that, they are shaped like that to increase pressure to make the bike run better and make it perform to its max patential, tell him to get it fixed, it must run like wank now tbh. sounds like its normal, not sure on the gear issure, are you knocking the bike into 1st then setting off, then knocking it up into 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th? or you knocking it up from neutral at the lights and setting off? ____________________ Haz ER-5, innit! |

LOL I'm taking off in first, but I do hold it right on the biting point for piriods. Pre-empting the light change. sometimes it's fine and others it just dies out, no matter how much throttle I give it. It takes off lets say a meter and dies.
Hmm.. It seems there must be something off with my gear box, it's 1 down, and 4 up from neautral then nothing.
Cheers guy's for the info so-far. |
