I am going to change the oil in my Suzuki GSX600F, I have never done it before, so I don't know how much to buy ! Embarassed

Anyone got any idea how much oil I will need?

I would buy a 5 litre bottle.,Will be more than enough.

I am not saying the bike takes 5 litres though.

Don't know about the Suzuki,but my thundercat takes 2 1/2 litres i would think you bike will be a similar amount

IIRC the bandit is 3300ml, it says so on the side of the engine, near the oil level check.

Sorry I thought you said GSF600, I Might be wrong but the GSXF has virtually the same engine I think so it should be the same amout of oil.

If you get 5 litres that leaves you enough to top up, does the GSXF burn oil?

Shoot me now if I'm saying something far too obvious for words, but on my GSXR it tells you on the crankcase '2600ml' - you may have the same?

If not, its going to be at least 2litres plus, so whack that in and see where it comes up to! Add until at the appropriate level!
