Well, after about half an hour of some sparky round about surfing as it was getting dark(wanted to see big bright sparks), and a few shit wheelies I gave my KDing another shot, but then it started spitting rain. Yep, I just about touched down and then it was KD, shoulder... arm, back and bike. Nothing broken or anything, bit of fairing scratched, but easily touched up, the worst thing was this time, I had the camera phone rolling. Feel free to laugh. I did.
Should be on soon. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

Oh well. Better luck next time

I really didn't, last time EVO was with me and we'd just stopped the camera, they offered a hand recovering it but I was fine, just laughed it off. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. More or less same wheels as yours, and how times have I been successful compared to coming off? ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

Perhaps you need to focus more on your cornering lines and technique, rather than obsessing about the knee to tarmac thing?
Oh, and stop doing it when its wet. You may as well pour a gallon of cooking oil down before you start instead!!!
Oh, and pass your test and get a proper bike. ____________________ CBR125|||GSXR400|||CBR400|||CBR400|||CB250RS|||GSXR750|||CB250RS

First time in wet, 'n' it had only just started. Plan on passing my test soon enough, I just can't behave on the roads enough to not have an incident, and need the bike for work. I'll learn, test on November so get new bits and be ready, OR do a few lessons etc.. decide on payday Cornering etc is sketchy, but that's because of wheel size I think My technique is fine just wrong timing. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Sounds like you shut off a bit just before you went down.
That was enough to load the front a bit more than it could take. When you're trying for roundabout KD try not to shut off, in normal circumstances it's very very difficult to lose it front on the power. ____________________ My Flickr |

I don't see why people say you look silly getting your knee down and think its pointless, i guess some people can't see the fact that people find it fun.
Anyway unlucky Steve, although i did laugh. ____________________ Banned till April 2011. |

Fun yes, I also find it relaxing. I learnt to do quite a bit and my confidence has improved beyond belief. learnt so quick and guess I owe it to EVO. He taught me the basic and ah well, one day I'll get a bigger bike to toy on. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Chris 'The Stalker' Walker has said he's never got his knee down on the road.
John Mcguiness only got his knee down once (at the ramsey Hairpin) on his record breaking 130mph lap.
Its absolutely not necessary on the road. Most riders I've seen doing it on the road have been slower than just riding the corner normally (just ask anyone on the lakes run how ridiculous the GSXR rider looked getting his knee down and holding us all up.
Seriously, just concentrate on improving your overall riding and passing your test. |
agreed, roundabout surfin's a crack on a quiet sunday afternoon wiv ya mates etc.. but not at night, with cars coming both ways, just askin for trouble mate, especially wiv ur limited experience etc, no offence an all, but u dont wana end up never riding a bike again, ever, b4 uve even passed ur test, it can happen trust me ____________________ those who risk nothing, become nothing, achieve nothing....

Normally I'd be sympathetic, but c'mon. Trying for KD, in the rain, on a bike with those tyres. You were asking for it.
On the plus side, the video's funny as hell. ____________________ Photos and that |
