NSR125 Acceleration Issue

My bike has developed a problem where the revs jump from apx.7,000 into the red. The acceleration doesnt seem to be effected much but it's the worry of the needle dancing around in the red, forcing me to change gear earlier to avoid the issue. Any ideas out there...

Is the needle jumping but the physical revs not riding accordingly?

Like, the revs say 11,000 but feel around 7,000? So the rev indicator is wrong?

Pretty much. It feels like its still slowly increasing in revs but the needle is jumping up. How would i check/change rev indicator...

check contacts of the black/yellow wire at your CDI and at clock

Thanks will check. Would the CDI control/have any influence on my indicators not flashing as well? New battery, but whe lights are on indicators stay solid unless high revs.

Check your battery connections, are they clean and tight?

check all bulbs they must be 12V 10W each look also for clean contacts . check also your battery charging . put a voltmeter on the battery with crocodile clips and watch the voltage at idle then accelerate slowly until 7500 and all along the acceleration look at the voltage . 14,2V should be reached at 5000 rpm and must not go over in higher rpm
