Based on the cub engines from honda, funny enough i have seen a tv program where a cub was subjected to torture, being driven on old filtered chip fat with no signes of seizing.

Think it was one of the car programs top gear/ 5th gear.

As far as using car oil goes i have run every bike i have owned under 400cc on car oil with no gearbox/engine or clutch problems at all ever and i do between 8 and 11k per year.

Covered 19000 miles on my vt250 spada in just over two years using castrol gtx car oil (£14.95 per 5 litres) never skipped a beat with 4000 mile oil changes.

Now running a very low mileage honda cb1 so that gets full synthetic castrol r4, as i plan on keeping it for a very very long time only problem is £38 for 4 litres ouch.
