Right okay, How do i fit the wiring loom to the bike?

is it true that no 2 connectors are the same?

(Some silly bugger has fitted a nice alarm and absolutely buggered the loom up, so it was ripped out! - so i dont have the old one to work from!)

any tips? pics? hints?

Thanks.

Jenks.

If you get another loom and have any mechanical sense it becomes self explanatory. Thumbs Up

Hi

Often some connectors will be the same. Also make very sure you have the loom for your exact model of bike. Eg, Yamaha swap the order of some of the wires in the connectors between models, so although it all plugs in nothing works. Took ages to find that problem with the FZ750.

All the best

Keith

I removed the loom from the FZR, but in doing so I took loads of pics to try and remember where each of the connections went. In all fairness I didn't seem to take the pics that would have helped, but it is quite self explanatory.

Just start with the simple things, get the large electrical components attached and then by process of elimination it should start to make sense.

It might be worthwhile giving the new loom a decent clean and a new wrap of electrical tape as to prevent loose wires or maybe even a short.

The hardest thing that I found was routing. Many a time I had to remove or reroute the loom as an over instead of an under makes a whole world of pain (in the ass)
