A bit of a light topic for a change..

from killa's input

Quote:
The last level Boss on some weird Japanese light gun game on the PS2.
I had to hold the gun in one hand and using one finger on the other hand hitting the trigger as fast as i could!
He must have taken a millions rounds!

Go on what are yours? , just compiling a little list of mine in the meantime.

The last boss on Robocop VS Termintor (megadrive) Shocked
How you were suppose to complete that was beyond me and i am a pretty good gamer.

Last boss on Golden axe (Megadrive) hard setting.
If you're lucky enough to press magic before he does you might be in with a chance, if not you're in for a rough ride and that bloke dished out some heavy special effects. Ard as nails

The mental boss at the end of Streets of Rage 3 (megadrive)
What the fudging hell is going on here?
I never saw the good ending, I ran out of time before I actually figure out what I was meant to be doing.

This is actually harder than i first thought Thinking

The end boss on Gears of War on hardest setting is meant to be very hard, I struggled abit on easy, so no way am I even trying it on hardest!

Also I recall Dr Robotnik on Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine game was pretty feckin tough.

The last mission of Driver on the PS2... I think. Either way it was fucking hard and I never managed to do it, the police cars went quite a bit faster than you on the straights and if you tried to swerve through traffic or round corners the cunts would smash straight into you. Impossible to do I found.

Hellwyrm on FF12 took about 2 1/2 hours of sustained pounding but I whooped it in the end through the slightly unorthadox technique of marching in and hacking at it constantly with three tanks.

Penance on FFX, impossible.

Medal of honour, rising sun!

I bought this some yrs ago and have not got past the second level where you fix the tank and follow it round, I follow the tank till the end, then when you get sent back to destroy a radio or some such nonsense I ALWAYS die, I cant do it and have broken three controllers in frustration in the past few yrs.

Some one help!

Are there any cheats?

I just stick to racing games as I'm crap at the others.

FF10 dark aeons where stupidily hard as was Ruby weapon on FF7.
The Gears of war boss is hard but there is a trick, invovling trapping him behind one of the concrete cubes and blind firing. I have heard Ninja Gaiden bosses are next to impossible.

Tourist Trophy on PS2, the TZ250 challenge on Pro Mode was rather challenging. Only took about half an hour of restart, restart, restart though.

Other than that, not really......

The terminator skull at the end? , you had to go through loads of secret stages repeatedly to build up enough lives to be able to survive the final battle, and switch weapons just before you die.

The robot that flies around and around firing missiles at you? , you just had to time a flying kick while it circled it'd chip away a tiny amount of its health , but just enough and in time before the bomb went off

My list:

The last boss on secret of Mana, you had to spend days literally leveling up before you had enough power to take on the mana beast , and find super secret armour to not die from one hit it gave you.

Shinobi on Ps2 most bosses were v hard

The imortal Mega drive , this was such a frustrating "game" , you'd walk along and die from something , a fireball coming out the wall , a sandworm eating you slime coming out the ground, etc

Homeworld 2 , one of the battles where 15 destroyers and 9 battle cruisers come at you in one go, you'd have to micromanage the battle it took ages.. more frustrating there was a bug at the end of the battle which meant you had to restart.#

Dungeon Keeper 1 the last level , the Avatar would steal ALL your vampires it'd teleport in kill all your monsters and teleport back out again ,

Probotector megadrive, the sky boss , it used to fill the entire frickin' screen except for one spot which you had to find.

Killer instinct 2 Gargos , horrendous his health would increase constantly , it was impossible to do more than a 3 hit combo on his else he'd do a severely damaging combo breaker on you while you were reelingfrom it he'd laugh increasing his health even faster.

the hardest one for me was having to do the dr robotnik level on the jap import version of sonic adventure on the sega dreamcast for my son who was about 8 at the time back in 99.

i have to admit to slinging the control at the floor a few times and using a few choice words until i defeated him and then my son took the controler back off me and completed the game.

he later claimed to have done it all by himself Thumbs Down .

collecting all the silver emblems on the resident evil 0 subgame leech hunter was the last one i spent a fair few hours on.

Super Shinobi (Megadrive) - last boss.....beatable but another war of attrition and continues.

Any Darius game (but specifically Darius Gaiden) with bosses that have smart lazers. You'll never avoid them all, bendy beam of light cvnts......

the guy who throws his hair at you ? , while at the same time you have to shoot the hole in the wall to stop the chain for 10 seconds to stop your woman getting crushed in the back ground? , there was an easier way , duck next to him , when he swings his hair at you immediately use Minjin power (the one that costs a life where you explode) , repeat 8-10 times and he is toast.

That level is piss easy!

if you use a couple of cheats

I think I did complete it a couple of times without cheats though.
