Someone told me you can fly within the EU using only a photocard license?

Thanks,

Techincally this is true - in that the government border controls of member states only need to prove you are a member of an EU country.

However, I would have thought that internal policies of the airlines would require you to take your passport.

Hi

EU bods can fly with their ID cards, but not sure the photocard licence counts as ID for that. Might well be true.

All the best

Best to phone the airport/airline to find out, in theory it should work but with the terrorism status i'd be weary.

If you are German yes A german lassie came to see me a few months ago, airlines won't like it though , just go down to the liverpool gestapo office, sorry did I say Gestapo? ,

Go down to the Liverpool Gestapo office shit said it again, passport office give them your finger prints £114 and be subjected to an intrusive interogation by the gestapo, and you will have a 10 year passport ,

thats IF this is your first passport that is.

You can 100% deff fly to southern ireland on a provisional driving licience ( our lass did this when i was working out there and she didn't have a passport) As for the rest of the EU I wouldn't chance it for the sake of £60.

I would say it depends on airline

I know with eazyjet you cant even fly within the UK without a passport.

I flew to Belfast last November with my photocard license as ID. Wouldn't want to chance it if I was going to mainland Europe though.

Also, you might get swept off your feet and taken on a whirlwind round the world trip filled with passion and romance visiting exotic locations staying in high class establishment by an insanely rich & unbelievably good looking guy/girl...

Then again... Crying or Very sad
