iv got the router upstairs & wireless downstairs & all is fine connection wise BUT.... i wanna be able to print & send files from mine to downstairs pc......say, print off the net,etc from mine & it does it through the printer thats downstairs & also say i wanna send tunes, files, etc over to downstairs pc, how can i send them through the connection?

the net works fine downstairs (tho buffering can be abit more laggy then mine) & its keylocked so no one can rob my connection cept downstairs as i hd to put in the `network id`

so yea, how do i send files from pc - pc via the wireless connection?
& how do i print via wireless connection?

make it a real simple piss-easy step by step dumb arse guide please Mr. Green

PS: routers on win XP pro (mine) & wirelessly connected to windows vista basic

Thumbs Up

its not detailed enough.... i need a ABC style write up about it

iv changed alot of the settings in the `manage` part.... where you can start/stop(stop being what iv done) alot of services that you dont need... so which ones NEED to be on to make this work? if any...

i done pretty much same thing, but not `other`, i did 1st option then same as you after that, & it goes all the way to the end then when it does the part where the `moving across` bit happens as if its being copied over its like it actually ends, but rather then `congrats, now click finish` its error, etc & finish is only clickable part anyway

Vista file and print sharing info - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx
Xp file and print sharing info - https://www.cnet.com.au/printers/desktop/0,239035459,339277831,00.htm

CE

With printers and forders shared got to the other device that want to use them, click start run and type \\othermachinename and press enter. If its a printer you want to use right click connect on the printer and it will add it to the other machine.. If its a folder you want just creat a short cut for it or map it in windows explorer to the drive letter you want..
