TZR 50 STANDARD EXHAUST??

hi i am just askin about my tzr 50 standard exhaust. there is a pipe that comes off of the exhaust ino the engine and also a sort of connecter pipe that slots into it from the two part exhaust whichs narrows the exhaust passage kind of like a restricter. i was told that by blocking off the pipe and cutting off the sort of sleeve that slots in to the other half that is would make the bikes performance better is this true??

cheers..

its better to get the shop to look at it then try and do it yourself if you dont have much experiance with bikes.
