speedfight 2 carb

i have just recently bought a 100cc speedfight 2 and it runs great when it warms up but when i start it when its cold it runs real badly and splutters a lot then cut's out, to me it sounds like the automatic choke is not working properly but someone said the exhaust might be blocked as well so has anyone got any idea please, also if it does turn out to be the choke can they be fixed or would it be just as quick to bin the old carb and get a new one. cheer's

Auto choke can be taken out and cleaned (i think).
If the exhaust is coked up you can clean it out with caustic Soda. Or the other method is to block off one end, pour petrol into it and then light it, and let it burn out.

Ive not tried either method so dont blame me if you burn a hole in your parents patio! Laughing
