Excuse the stupid question, but have you removed the anti-spill label and/or snipped the top off the oil bottle?

i.e. if you tip the bottle up will oil spill everywhere?

If it will I can’t see why else the reservoir won't fill.

It almost breaks my hand as I have to squeeze the bottle to fill mine for about 2 mins constant hardest pressure lol

To the thread poster: Have you set the dial to prime? This makes the valve fully open and easier to fill.

there is already oil in it so when i set it to prime out pours out of the bottom all over the chain. i squeeze the bottle and it just doesnt want to seem to go in the oiler. It gets so far and then wants to come back out. well it does come back out all over my hand lol

I bet a tenner you are not putting the nozzle in properly, place it in(not all the way), with the nozzle angled downwards, then give gentle on/off pumps. Had this myself when fitting one to a CB1300 on friday.

You're not trying to fill it through the rubber bit are you?

Take the rubber bit off and fill it through the hole in the side of the clear plastic body of the oiler. Then put the rubber bit back on, set it to prime and squeeze air into it from the bottle to force the valve open and oil down the delivery tube.

Take the black rubber bit off the side of the reservoir, the one the hose goes into, and fill the reservoir directly thru the hole.

Just as I said in my first reply Wink
