Is it just me or is it fantastically freezing this morning? First day so far that I've gotten to work and had to thaw myself out before regaining the ability to type.

I need a holiday Confused

Oxford Hothands! See, people will mock but they are worth their weight in gold in this kind of weather and you can just unplug em when you don't want em.

Hi

Yep, it was a tad cold this morning, especially as I needed to keep opening my visor to clear it. I have a set of heated grips at home which I must get round to fitting (they can go on the XJ though).

All the best

Keith

I haven't been out yet, but I when I got up everything outside was white over, the windows are all frozen, and my moms car wouldn't start. Definately the coldest morning so far!

Hi

Charlotte is using my car as hers has a dodgy clutch and the place that changed it are being a pain in the backside. The Maserati is off having the bodywork sorted out and really is not a nice car to use on slippery roads (the rear view mirror does not give a wide enough view to see where you are heading). That leaves the little 1.3 lhd Alfa but I really should change the strut pan bearings on that (steering is very heavy at the moment).

All the best

Keith

I bought some Motrax anti fog stuff for this winter, kept meaning to try some and I've been quite impressed. With a good application the visor doesn't mist at all, with a lot of water vapour it can leave sort of wet patches dribbly patches on the inside of the visor though, but it's better than fogging. Don't know how it'll get on when it's cold enough to freeze the breath, but we'll see. It's only £3.99 for a can and it looks like it will last for a while.

I was thinking of moving to Cyprus a couple of years back. 9 months of sunshine per year, 65f through winter, they drive on the left, roads are generally decent, sun, sea, sand and you can ski in the winter!

You lazy git! You've only got to go a mile to college. At least my 20odd mile jaunt is a good reason to stay in bed!

This is where you start thinking 'hmm how nice would it be to have a car to go home in with a heater and a radio'

No frozen hands, no frozen feet and best of all, you will still be able to feel your nose and chin.

Well, the steering going light is a nice bit of warning that the road surface is a tad slippery. With those bearings gone the steering is still quite stiff, especially without power steering.

All the best

Keith

The nights are the worst! They've got me out delivering in these cheap winter gloves that don't really do a good job. When i'm not delivering i stick the gloves on top of the oven to warm them up. It's nice being in the store because compared to outside, the temperature inside is only "mildly unbearable"

It is cold though isn't it Confused . It's not just my hands but my feet too :S.
