Me - 2 format reloads

Installed new motherboard for a customer

Sorted driver problems for a dell laptop

Oh, and the other small thing of serving customers in a busy shop and no chance for a fkin lunchbreak. Neutral

I did get a £2 tip off a lady for a very burdensome task of installing Word from a CD.. it made my day so much better. Wink

Was your day as hard as mine?

I got up - popped to the service station, bought some John Smiths, watched the match with a couple of beers, and am now off to play rugby in the park with my fast-approaching-my-size 'little' brother.

It'll be good practise, I've finally been given the all-clear to play rugby again, and one of my PTI's has drafted me into a match for the (very) amateur team at work.

"No problem" sayeth I, "Who are we playing?".

"HMP Belmarsh, the toughest nick in London" spake the PTI.

Bugger Sad

on friday, my day consisted of doing 'book back'

this means ringing companies who have had temp drivers for the week, and seeing if they want them back next week. Then I ring the drivers to check they want to go back next week.

What made my day, was finally getting a driver into a new job. What made this special, was that it took a bit of work on my part to pull it off, I had been making calls each day on it, and the driver appreciates it. His job is coming to an end, and if he didnt get something that paid as well, he would have difficulty making ends meet as he is the only breadwinner for his family. Its not often I get such a powerful feeling that im helping people.

Gratitude costs nothing but it can mean the world some times, and other times its just a good feeling that you have helped someone.

Although I cant get too keen on this, if it clashes with the needs of the business. We are there to make money after all Smile

Well I did two test drives this afternoon, 1st one, married couple in their 50s went on a drive for 10 miles Shocked , 5 miles into drive he or his wife farted, smelt like stale bitter (so yeah must of been him Wink ) no one said anything, I thought should I open the window or not, or take it like a man... took second option Crying or Very sad (sold the car tho Very Happy )

second test drive... bloke in his late 20s went on a 4 mile drive, and the chap had Tourette's he kept looking at me and flintching Shocked and very vocal with his hands, we went in to my office and he kept getting out of his seat then sitting back down. (no sale)...

normal Saturday afternoon then...

Disclaimer: have nothing whatsoever against people with Tourette's my son has a mild form of it.

We're going to get demolished, I haven't played since I messed about with sevens tournaments in the Navy, and I think that still leaves me with more experience than half the team! They played HMP Pentonville last week, and got walloped 33:3 - although they claim that the scoreline didn't accurately reflect the facts on the ground.

Someone 'in the know' has tipped us the wink that Belmarsh screws are indeed just as big, ugly and fearsome as popular opinion has it.

The icing on the cake is that I'm supposed to be on a Night shift after the match, and it's 50-50 whether they'll let me take it off! I'm going to be in a world of pain if they don't!

For a minute there, I thought you were going to say "... as their inmates" Laughing

(an ex-bloke of mine was in there "for a time": big, ugly and fearsome as they come, but a gentle giant and a total sweetie under the scary exterior, in fact, quite handsome in a scary sort of way) ... but don't tell him I said that, LOL

As a side issue, I notice in the Independent that Dirty Pretty Things played a gig at HMP Pentonville the other day ... is this a regular thing, or is it something new - that crims now get their very own rock concerts?

Belmarsh is now a high security super Cat-A nick, and is thus stuffed full of high profile terrorist types, rather than just old-school burly bank robbers.

Huge amounts of crime are due to drugs, and are thus committed by heroin-addled skinny junkies.

I'm thinking about springing some of my African lads for the day, I've got a guy on one of my wings that nearly put me through a wall with a friendly punch after I questioned his sexuality. He'd make an ideal member of the Front Row!

Castrated some cattle!

Started by grabbing two dozen donuts at six in the morning. Got to work, saddled up the horses, rounded up about a hundred head of cattle, seperated the heifers from the calves, ran the heifers through the 'big chute' and gave them the appropriate vaccinations, ran the calves through the 'little chute' and gave them their shots and a brand and castrated the males, ran those back to thier respective pastures, rounded up another bunch and repeated. Nine hours of fun without a break.

Got to work ten minutes late, no post due to strike so feet went up on desk, chair back, music on pc, had a snooze.

Dam the phone for ringing, fielded half a dozen calls all day. Feet still on desk. Still no post, more snoozing.

Left work ten minutes late to account for arriving late. conscientious worker me. Laughing

I didn't go to work today (I get mondays off Dance! ) so I started to work on my project XJ but it just wasn't agreeing with me so I came back inside and made this instead.

(Don't listen to it if you don't like badly produced, half finished and badly played pop punk tunes!)
