how to fix downpipe?

my downpipe atthe link pipe end looks like the above picture , can anybody explain how to make it round again?, others on mt other threads have briefly described it but as said they have been brief can anybody explain as to what tools I'll need where to get them from and how to use them to make it more or less circular? so I can still a new link pipe onto it?.


It is uncreased the pipe currently the alternative is an expensive in time and money replace the downpipes completely , or maybe angle grind the end off and weld on a bit of pipe complicated cus I can't weld and I don't angle grind such that it maybe cheaper to replace.

rest of the damage is just replace for a new parts

Any thoughts please.

you need a bar with the end turned to the right size/shape. Take of the pipe, grab it in a vice, heat up the end and drive the bar in. Remove bar and the end should be back to the right shape. The bar neads a tapered lead in on it BTW.

Another option is a piece of wood with the correct radius cut into it, usually with a hole saw, then hammer form the shape back.

theres a tool for this situation, you put it in the pipe, tighten and flanged move up it and out to make a bigger exhaust pipe or create a near perfect circular hole again, i dont know whats its called but someone on here must know.
