I would imagine a special as he has mentioned a Mito 350 YPVS.

Had a restoration in mind, but since there is a Mito 350 conversion in the poll, I'm not against a custom build.

Insurance has paid out on my bike and I've shifted some of my old 120 camera kit, so I have spare cash tempting me! Laughing

Generally out of those, if you want the most challenging, I'd say a Gilera CX with a bigger engine...

.. but it may be hard to improve the front suspension as it is single sided.

As I've gone on about before, I've always liked the idea of doing a Honda RS250/CR500 hybrid, or maybe even RS125 with something like a KTM 200 or 250 EXC engine.
This way you should still have stupidly low weight and reasonable power, but also reasonable reliability.

Some one has fitted a Suzuki DR 750 lump into a Gilera CX:

https://miranda727.tripod.com/index_in.htm

I've read that the CX has really over-engineered suspension and can handle a bigger motor without modification.

I'm mostly looking at a restoration project. The RD350 YPVS Mito conversion does appeal. Expensive though. Confused

Aprilia AF1 seems the easiest to find, but maybe the least inspiring, the rest are pretty rare. Rolling Eyes

Had to rebook the DAS after my crash so anything bigger than a 125 is going to have to be a long term project, The Mito 350 falls into this category as does the very rare TZR 3MA. Doesn't totally bother me, I love small 2Ts - probably always have one. Laughing

I'd love an RS250, lash it in carbon everything with top notch everything.....guess one's not old enough.

Failing that, a nice old LC would do well if it was my choice.

Don't really know much about 2t, but the RG500 looks 'c'est tres bon' Thumbs Up and yes the RS250 is a bike that I'd love to have just pipping the KR1.
