I would've probably gone for the MV, that Benelli's still a nice bike though.

I would have gone for the mv on looks, although it's not meant to be up to much performance wise. The benelli deffinately grew on me when I saw it in person. Smile

Not being nearly tarty enough, I'd have got the best litre bike out of the jap 4 crop for next year... presuming this is a new bike for road riding that is.

Otherwise if I had that money I'd have probably got a second hand GSXR 1000 k3 and a 600cc track/race bike Smile.

Well I think that as long as he is happy with it and stays happy with it then it was the right choice. I personally would never have bought it, but that is just because I have a different taste in bikes to him. I have a thing for this bike at the moment.

Go buy a copy of streetfighter magazine and have a read. It costs a hell of a lot more than a set of fairings to turn a sports bike into a decent streetfighter!

Yup.

Thing which is kinda crappy, is people taking a sports bike, removing the fairing, sticking a mini fairing on and some cheap flat bars and going "Look at my new street fighter R1!" And people putting round lights on a bandit etc and saying its a street fighter.

Proper ones have had major frame stuff changed, and lots of time and effort in them, not just a quick way of getting it on the road.

Danny, what are you saying? Have you gone mad? Don't step back from the relative 'performance' the GPZ if offering and settle for a lousy Triumph. Rolling Eyes Razz

It's all part of my masterplan. Wink
I let the poor deprived triumph rider swap bikes with me then I sell his bike onto a foolish person who likes triumphs. Then with the extra money I would have earned I could buy something with more relative 'performance'. Laughing

There's a flaw in your plan - there's not many people around foolish enough to buy a Triumph. Laughing

I think you made the right choice, I know the x raptor is rare but you have already had a v raptor which doesn't look too much different and the mv is far too common.

Well, none of the above bikes are common and all have a sense of exclusiveness to a certain degree which makes them all great bikes to own IMO.
I would love to have any one of them but if I had to choose one I would have gone for the MV personally, just for the tartiness of it. Smile

I think they're both great machines, the Tornado and F4 that is. Got to admit I'm not over keen on the Raptor, I'm an out and out sports bike man. You can't beat the Italians for design though, they make some great looking machines, the Japs could learn a thing or two. The only Jap bike that looks anywhere near as good as the Italian kit, imo, is the R1. I'm sure the Tornado will make a brilliant road bike and I'm sure they won't be too common a sight when you're out and about.

All great bikes,
One day i might even own one...
Maybe.

But i still think the benelli is a great bike, and either choice is down to your own individual taste.

I think the Benelli is more attractive in the flesh. Definately better looking.

I love the MV, but I was a little worried about the shape of the tank..
