I need to get some new ones...has anyone changed them before?...and if so, is there anything that I should know?...I've had a quick look at my current grips, and they seem pretty happy there...will I need to chop them up in order to get 'em off?

Cheers,

Tin

Is this for your RVF? (sorry confused as to who has what bikes). About £15 for a nice set, just lever up the old ones a bit and spray in some WD40 till they come off then wipe off the WD40 and stick the new ones on.

I had to heat them up with my small blow tourch, be very careful not to melt them just enough to make the adesive move then slide them off & others on, i put grip lock on to hold them inplace to

yup!...£15?...could you please point me in their direction?...The "best" (i.e. the most expensive) pair that I could find were £8, so that's quite a difference...

I don't know about road bike grips but for motocross & mountain bike ones it's usually better to leave the wd40 on... I even spary a bit inside the grips, this not only makes them slide on better but as it dries I think it kinda 'melts' the grip to the bar (hair spray is supposed to be good as well!)

btw on bikes with open ended bars (not most sports bikes adimtadley) it's usuall a good idea to put a coin in the end.. this stops the end getting poked in and should save your bars from minor scrapes.

This this was from M&P. Not sure how good they were but look in the catalogue they've got 2 pages full of them.
