Suzuki DR650RS before, Crashed and after pics (Inc. gore)

After passing my test i didn't have much cash about to get what i wanted, So got this:

Then in an unfortunate incident on a single track road - bike went bars first right under the back of the stopped 04 plate renault megane (Rear of the seat was squished against the rear right wheel and the engine was just showing from under the bumper, Look at one of them cars next time and picture it!) and then looked like this (sorry about poor pics)

And (just for you lot ) my right knee about 2 weeks on (yes i've learnt my lesson, Levi's are no good for falling off in) Imagine a rather big hole where the stitching is...

Then last tuesday we had finished 'repairing' the bike (bit of a pain in the ass, Had to find a home for the CDI and De-comp box amongst many other troubles) and it now looks like this (Spot the f*cked but working oil cooler and tank):

Unfortunatley, The following day we finished it i was in real agony, my knee had swollen up and wouldnt bend again so i went to the doctor, Turned out it was an infection so i was off to hospital again. Just got out yesterday with it looking like this:

The lesson is: Wear f*cking gear! I was only doing around 40mph at the time. Heres a list of the stuff i had on and the injury's:

I was wearing my craft helmet (broken left visor screw), JTS jacket (slid up my right arm and i was grazed there, other than that it did its job - the rest of it knackered with rips!), Buffalo gloves (managed to chip a bone in my left hand but its not bothered me since, gloves really saved my hands though - they were scratched to buggery), Levi's (Knee wasnt the only injury, left knee and shin were badly grazed and bike scratched and stabbed the back of my right calf somehow) and lastly i was wearing my steel toe'd caterpillars (favorite boots i had ) which snapped the laces and my right foot gets sore sometimes, But at least they stayed on! (Would not have liked to have been wearing trainers!)

Hope thats enough motivation for anyone who wears jeans regularly when riding to get some protection! (The accident was 6 weeks ago sunday coming...Knee is far from recovered yet)

Cheers guys, Funny thing is i had a 'crosser/supermoto/enduro' look in mind for it, But wasnt planning to crash it

Dunno what to do with it really, Needs a stripdown and bits replaced/cleaned/painted/powdercoated and if i was going to all that bother i'd want a pair of wider 17" laced up to the hubs

Need to get another clutch basket for it as it judders at low revs (i'm told suzuki's were bad for this) amongst another few bits and bobs.

Also replaced my gear (been riding in a denim jacket, boots and jeans since ) Getting my confidence back slowly but its coming
