Well if it has a drain screw can't you just use that as a temporary measure?

As for the battery, isn't there a car nearby you can jump it from?

Also, does your coursework actually have to be in tommorow?

They'll usually accept it slightly late if you have a good enough excuse Razz

My English "Wide Reading" coursework was 8 months late

After I was told to "Get it in, or you're suspended" I started reading the 2 books at 2am the day it was supposed to be handed in, one of which was "1984" by George Orwell.

Did 17 pages and got a B+, stick that in your fucking pipe, system.

Ok I'll be more specific just for Sickpup. Whatever you do don't start it with the engine running like you would a car. If you do it'll no doubt cause something to fry.

We started dam_busters bike like this 3 or 4 times. Never had any problems at all. 12v is 12v init?

Current? The bike will only draw what it needs. I'm no sparky but im sure its quite safe to do so.

Or I can do it for a living.

The bike will only pull the power it needs.

The only thing I'd be afraid of when jump starting a bike from a car is that the bike will try and charge the car's battery. However, as long as all the electrics are off, I don't think it'd cause any damage.

And although you apparently shouldn't jump-start a vehicle while the vehicle with the good battery is running, I've done that many times too (when I first got my Cavalier it was the only way we could get some charge into the battery to start it, as we had cack jump leads) and had no problems.

Ok this is not a response to Sickpup. That dialogue has ended as far as I'm concerned and I respect your opinion.

However here are a few more links if anyone is interested. I'll let folks make up their own minds on the topic.

You really need to take a good read of those links as they actually tell you why they are wrong.
