Ive found someone that i can buy an engine for a RS 125 just the engine an a few other parts

i have to find a courier from Ashford kent upto Buxton in Derbyshire.
never used a courier before but from a few sites it seems that i need to know the weight and box size.

now the engine's in bits so its not going to be massive. but does anyone know the rough weight a very round figure so i can at least try to works something out.
thanks

dont really know tbh but it must be light aroun 50kg to 100kg mark but if its in parts it will need a bigger box i would think. any change you could get the seller to weigh and box it for you?

a 125cc Engine weight

admittedly not the one you asked for:
Weight: 45 pounds
Measurements: 17" x 10 1/4" x 8 1/4"

So, 20.4kg weight
But that is a 125cc, 4 stroke

Cant seem to find a 2 stroke.
You tried ringing up a garage and asking?
Or try to find somewhere that sells the engine and ask them the weight of it

20kg sounds light to me...

I think an nsr 125 engine is about 50kg, I know that I could just about carry it.

It will probably take up more space in bits than if it was assembled.

I believe that's a pit bike/cub 90 based engine.

As pit bike's were sold as being about 60kg I think, that's probably not too far off.

Oh and my SV engine in bits takes up several boxes bigger than an SV engine on it's own.

60 kg??? my subaru engine was light enough for me to lift and hump 10 or so meters so less than 100kg and that was a flat 4 with oil in it, (no gear box or fly wheel though) i would imagine a smokey would be in the region of 30kg all up dry
