Got to say , one of the best films I have ever watched.

Recommended.

( For any one who does not know what the films about)

The World's Fastest Indian, is a film based on the legendary speed bike racer from New Zealand named Burt Munro. Munro set numerous land speed records for motorcycles with engines less than 1000cc
burt is a 67-year-old New Zealander who is obsessed with speed. Being a loner who lives in a bike shed, he spends every moment of his day modifying his beloved Indian motorcycle.

(based on a true story.)

Thumbs Up

Be careful watching this film,

MJ from the KR and RGV250.co.uk Forum watched this film and ended up buying a bike shiping it over to the states and setting a new world record

Read the story here!!

Aye, a fantastic film. I didnt know much about him (the actual guy or what he did) before i watched it, and figured cos its based on a true story, it might not have the "happy ending"

SPOILER

so when it got to the part where he was told he couldnt race it after going so far, I was absolutely crestfallen! Devastated! Then he owns it off, and i almost welled up Crying or Very sad Smile

Fantasmic film, also recommended Thumbs Up

Believe me, you don't. I have two and I can assure you they are not worth the expense.

If you really want one though, just take the vacuum stub off one of your inlet manifolds and go for a wazz.

I have a couple & they cost over $100K each.. Resulted from some asshat not shimming the blower sections on a pair of P&W R2800's....
He didn't incorrectly shim them.. he just failed to shim them at all... & having engines destroy themselves about 20ft off the ground just as you reach the airport fence certainly focus's the mind... Shocked

It also puts people off their game when they are playing golf just the other side of the road & you go past at 50ft, trying to climb on the remaining engine while shedding engine parts all over the golf course... Cool

n/m, worse things happen at sea Smile

Its my favourite bike film.
The only thing wrong with this film is that it makes me feel homesick as hell, and nostalgic for the 60s Laughing

I'm sure someone would buy you a lemon tree to piss on if you asked them nicely.
