I am correct in thinking that the penalty for having a small plate is the same no matter how small it is? Yeah for really small ones you'd get pulled all the time, but I was just wondering out of general interest/ boredom.

Oh yeah...

I used to have a 7x5 and never got pulled for it. Reckon a 7x2 would be ample for dodging pesky mobile camera vans, perhaps with a slightly hard-to-read font Cool

That bike was in Bike a while back. Don't think it had nos back then just a turbo Shocked

I wouldn't mind a smaller plate as cops don't seem to really mind over here.

Nos or Turbo either'd scare me badly at this stage lol.

I might get a small plate, dinkywinkaz etc, but at the minute i really need a BIKE before any of the other stuff makes sense Laughing .

Well considering i have a spare set od Red White and blue fairing sitting in the garage, i'm a little biased towards it. as Uber zak and stoo previously owned it.

I'd say it slots somewhere with the kwak green Wink

Laughing Cool. The "NOS" lettering is larger and clearer than the number plate. Very Happy

Small plates ask for more trouble than race cans etc, IMO.

The tiny numberplate says to the police:
"I don't care about the law"
and the NOS logo says
"and you can't make me care"
Laughing

Actually that's a really really thin swingarm for a nitrous equipped bike isn't it?

On the firestorm I am going to leave the standard plate on I think. All my other bikes had small plates, but to be honest, the Firestorm already attracts enough attention because it is so loud. If I had a small plate and get pulled for it, I then get done for the race cans and bald tyres

I've always been meaning to ask what a firestorm is. Is it one of those SP1 thingies?

It's the Honda VTR1000 also known in the US as the Superhawk.
Not really like the VTR1000 SP-1/SP-2 (unfortunately for Korn, Drew, Zim, Dodd etc).

The SP1 - SP2 are really something!

Saying that the massive V-Twin of the firestorm i'd imagine still shifts... and after looknig at a few videos of the firestorm i'd say dodd will love it when summer rolls round.

And ill be following on the 2 squeak Wink
No more over taking lorries though... had enough trouble when you was on the GS Dodd. Wink

The SP1/SP2 scares me Laughing . I imagine that safety/power wise it's got to be worse than a gixxer Laughing but having rode neither i'm not really qualified to comment. I think they "look" nice Smile.

Why's that? Is that cos the SP has less power than a gixxerthou or cos its power delivery isn't as peaky? Rolling Eyes

If you lot think that plate is small you should look at the one on the back of the holeshot turbo r1. I would find a pic of it now for you but i'm just on my way to the hospital and I don't really have the time.
