Nice to see them putting some effort into maxi scooters, but even I think that one's ugly, and it needs to lose weight.

What's the POINT?

Not everyone feels the need to wheelie or get their knee down. Some people like the extra carrying ability and weather protection a scooter offers with the convenience of a twist'n'go, whilst still not being a car.

Don't be a sheep. Apply a small amount of thought and you'll see that an automatic allows people unable to use gears through disability the chance to still ride.

I've never wheelied nor had my knee down. I still don't see the point. It won't be cheap, you might as well get a little car.

I like it. It'd be fantastic and comfortable for long-distance riding too.

One of them, I made a couple of others too, but you managed to ignore those. How many do you need before accepting that there is a market for maxi scooters?

Nice I like it, I was thinking about getting a Burgmann 650 if my physio doesn't work out as well as expected, but an 840 twin is more like it. Only thing I don't like is CVT, the Burgmann has an option to run geared as well as CVT.

Could see a use for that.

Coming in from the suburbs to work in the city, could be quite handy.

Its one of those bikes you'd keep in the garage - use it for commuting and use the geared bike to hoon around on at weekends.

I didn't say there wasn't, why are you so defensive? Personally I don't see the point of them. Does that offend you?

If the engine is not attached to the swinging arm, then it isn't really a scooter.

Its a stepthru bike. If the engine is attached to the swinging arm... then what the f*** were gilera thinking?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

You asked what the point was, I gave you some, you said you still don't see the point, I gave you another one which still didn't suit you. I'm not offended, but just because you wouldn't have one doesn't mean no-one else will, meaning that there IS a point to them. Say "I don't like them", rather than "they serve no purpose".

Way I see it, every social group needs something to feel superior to.

Just as many sheep in the "biking" world as anywhere else. I'm secure enough in my "street cred" or what ever the fuck it is that feels threatened to use whatever I feel suits my mood and the job in hand /shrug

Aprilia are making this: the Mana.

You can switch between automatic transition and normal, and instead of the tank you have massive storage space.

And best of all.....

IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A SCOOTER!

funnily enough, there is a film sharing the same name as you, where they ride bikes that are all the same seating position as superscooters

low weight of scooters is handy in traffic and they are very comfy on a commute, but they are often underpowered

so a high powered scooter could be good
