Just wondered what most people go for because the last year i have been on fully comp but as im getting a moor powerful bike i can only afford TPFT.

I just spent 5k on a bike and im only tpft, purely for cost reasons. Its a risk, but my last bike was tpft and that was bought new. If I fall off im in a better position than most to fix my bike on my own so im only fooked if i total it.
I'll probably upgrade to fully comp next year when i have more ncb.
Im paying 350 on a cbr1100xx.

I go for Fully Comp because :

a) I'm an old git and its relatively cheap

b) Broken parts cost the same even if the bike's cheap.

My bike is woth over 5k so i go full comp. Am 27 and live in the sticks so insurance was fairly cheap. Im paying about 420 fully comp on a ZX10R 05 model with 2 years NCB.

TPO on a £600 bike. Should probably go for TPFT now I'm in a city, but I'm a poor student. It's also still registered at home rather than up here due to a combination of laziness and the fact that my home postcode is stupidly cheap for insurance purposes.

My bike is worth less than £1000 (probably) and I'm insured TPF+T, I don't know if I'd insure a bike fully comprehensive regardless of how much it's worth as surely claiming off your insurance for parts in an own fault off would just up your premiums anyway?

My bike is insured for £2k but I am old and the FC insurance is reasonable for a Blade. I have 9 years NCB too.

My gz125 cost £120 for fully comp with no NCB. I don't have a garage so it sits on my driveway

I go for fully comp because it's cheap (£185) and because my policy doesn't have a no-claims bonus as such.

Fully comp no matter what.

If you owe anything for the bike, be that loan or finance, then only FC will do, you don't want to be paying off money on something thats a pile of scrap..

I'm fully comp for obvious reasons. Drop a wing and get a second mortgage to repair it.

Most big bikes can come close to an insurance write off from the smallest accident with the price of OEM plastic so fully comp if you can afford it!
