58 main jet should be fine for de-restricting and the exhaust.

Depends on the age as if its a pre-2003 model with a dellorto carb its a 64 as std... so a 58 will be useless Wink

More details please Wink

Cool... make sure you stay well away from the 58 jet then, on a W-reg it will be FAR FAR FAR too small! Wink

It will either be a 14mm weber carb or a 17.5 dellorto.. easy to tell as they both have it clearly written on them! Very Happy

ok thank you, i have been told i can further derestrict by changing the rollers and removing the washer in the variator.

what weight rollers would i need if i wanted a balance between good acceleration and good top speed, but a bit more speed than acceleration?

thanks

Rollers are not a restriction so dont think of them as such as it gets too confusing...

If your running a standard exhaust and planning on derestricting the bike then you can drop from 6.4gram standard to 5.5grams... top speed will be the same as rollers dont effect speed, thats controlled by size of the pulleys and the ratio of the final drive gears... but reducing the roller weight will allow the bike to rev harder before the gearing changes which will keep the bike in its powerband better... if you go down the sports exhaust then youll need to go even lighter as they work on an expansion chamber system which moves the powerband even higher up the rpm range.

Derestrict the exhaust, drop 1gram on the rollers, fit a bigger main jet and remove the variator washer and it will go well (aslong as its not done 20,000km and never had a piston and ring kit)
