the concept of recreating the Akira or Kaneda's bike has been around since the release of the Manga, and even more so when the Anime film was released, there is an american replicating the bike like for like even the suspension but obviously he wont be able to use flashing green power lol. fookin mint film that is btw.

hes making it by hand and has been for about 5-10 yrs, thers only one built like his, so ye. i doubt anyone will be able to replicate it in mass production anywhere near as good. what you think of the film?

You can guess what I think of the film, and anime in general. Personally, I can't imagine riding a sportsbike with a feet-forward position so I really don't think styling will go down that route. Consider weight distribution and mass centralisation. We've already seen concepts from Honda that hint at the scooter/touring potential of the 'Kaneda' layout though, and frankly for me they can't come quick enough.

theres been a few rep bikes, but the only one i have ever seen that truely is kaneda's bike is the one an american is building bit by bit to really make it authentic. others are just modded frames and one off plastics.
