Sparkies are value for money. Smile and yeah, they're a pair a set.

Mmmmm... Sparks. Fun stuff.

We'll see Wink.

Need a velcro patch thing aswell. Bah! Still a better idea than using the strap ones with my jeans Shocked.

Borrrring...

Im obviously not going to use them in the ice or something. Might not even until spring/summer next year, but I can still buy them now.

Anyway, there is nothing wrong with the weather at the moment its just a bit on the cold side.

Rolling Eyes

It's still perfectly safe, just make sure you warm your tyres.

I've had my knee down in these sorts of temperatures.

Just a note on quality, my wiz sparkies (st. Georges cross version) lost 2 of the titanium pins on the first KD. Others soon followed.

Just so you know Wink

motrax sliders are the only ones i use now (about the only motrax kit i use!!), ive tried loads but most seem to wear down far too fast. they seem to be made of ceramic or something instead of plastic (doubt they are though!!)

I've only ever used A*'s sliders, they are brilliant.

I love the sliders you get free with Heine Gericke leathers. They're like a bar of soap, really thick and are nicely soft. They're quiet when they're scraping too.

Other ones I've used are really plasticy.

But that's what you get when you use knee sliders that come free with magazines.

Sliders come in packs of 2. Nearly bought some full titanium sparkies once. But they were £40!

Bare in mind that sparky sliders wear slower but create a lot more drag. I much prefer the feel of normal pastic sliders compared to sparkies.

yes and? , just spend 30-45 minutes warming up your tyres before any fast riding, obviously if the road is very cold to touch then you aint gonna get enough heat into them,

wheas last year even on Rides babyyam came on , you touch the road it feels neither warm or cold then you can still take it to the edge of the tyre and KD ,

And or fit some BT92 tyres , 400s love these and stick to the road like glue

Your going to love the 090's even more then Smile

Odd really, Will, the chap at Wiz was really very helpful and went out of his way last Xmas-time to make sure I got a set of sliders I was after. Ever since I have stuck to Wiz sliders out of loyalty. I'm using their old skool leather sliders at the moment and have to say they are glorious. Skitchwhootsh they go,with a little bit of smoke on looong sweepers Smile

I had some solid Titaniums. Cool I swapped them for a pair of plastic teardrop ones with my brother though because you cant use them on the track. Wink

I've yet to try out the ones that where given away free with PB a while back yet. Laughing

Well, its £10 for the velcro patch thing and £20 for the sliders. I think its £25 for the sparkie ones.

That was my second Dainese Ergon. (It's an old picture.)

They were incredibly comfortable, I loved them to bits. Sadly the bits that held the visor on broke very easily, and were impossible to get hold of.
