I want to make a list of all the great motorcycling movies there are out there.

to start of:

1. worlds fastest indian

2. The motorcycle diaries

3. longway round

4. biker boyz

5. long way down (once it's released)

cant think of any more and can't find any on the net.

any suggestions?

no non-story type movies please.

Wellll long way round isn't story type film (good as it is)

And biker boyz is an embarrassment.

Mondo Enduro and Terra Circa are both excellent, imagine long way round with no budget.

Heartlands imo is very good (c90 is a proper bike)

"Stone" is a classic. Probably the best 'biker' movie out there with some top Z1 and wheelying Norton commando action.

Restless natives. Well you didn't say they had to be big bikes.

Motorcycle diary's is really very good.. (shame there's not more of the biking)

...it makes me think of 1930sAriel on holiday, running into walls and cows and smashing the bike straight again before riding on again covered in spleen and a grin under his beard..

On any Sunday. Its a 1971 film/documentary that really makes me smile. Its even got Steve McQueen in it. Loads of people riding pretty rubbish bikes, mainly off road, and they actually enjoy it.

theres a film called Shame from the late 1980's thats quite good, a bit heavy, ( its a bit ( a lot ) feminist, and deals with issues of rape and social exclusion) but still good.

its not exactly a biker movie, but the lead character is a biker, and her katana 750 features quite heavily in it. the issues the story deals with kinda relate to being a biker, in a mad max, easy rider kind of way, which is probably why theres a bike in it.

its an australian film, made by an independent film maker, so it might not be that easy to find.

If you're including films with bikes featured then The Great Escape with Steve McQueen.
