PostPosted: 17:13 - 25 Oct 2007    Post subject: Iran strike soon? PLEASE READ Reply with quote

It seems the war-drums have started once again.

In rhetoric worryingly similar to that before the Iraq strike, the media is filling with stories highlighting the increased tensions between the US/UK and Iran.

https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/7061991.stm

Attack on Iran 'imminent'...

https://www.nysun.com/article/63561

Now, this post aimed to try to get you to think about this carefully and not spout off without reading some things that have occured recently regarding this situation. Don't be like most, constantly regurgitating the war-mongoring we constantlly have to suffer. Not mentioning any names, mind. Rolling Eyes

In the last few years, the CIA have been funding militant groups (Jundullah) working against Iran from within it's borders to cause 'instability and regime change'.... with bombs..

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml;jsessionid=E3KMWW5VVIXZNQFIQMFSFF4AVCBQ0IV0?xml=/news/2007/05/27/wiran27.xml

And more recently, UK special forces have been in firefights from within Iran's borders. Yes, you know those lovely SAS guys...

https://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1192380613977

with resulting 'mystery' explosions and casualties... Rolling Eyes

https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4271011.stm

https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/6363181.stm

https://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4188/is_20070215/ai_n18629331

Meanwhile, Russia has been condemning any planned attacks whilst evacuating it's staff for fears of an attack...

https://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/october2007/011007_russia_evacuates.htm

Anyway, the fresh increased tensions (remember all this year we were supposed to hate them for wanting nuclear power?) are supposedly about Iran supplying Al-Queda terrorists in Iraq.

Unfortunately the war-mongers forgot that Al-Queda are sworn enemies of Iranians, secondly different factions of Muslims (Sunni's vs Shi'ites) and thirdly not actually responsible. Doesn't stop the propaganda though. Even US government officials admit 'no proof'.

https://pressesc.com/01181866305_burns_is_lying_according_to_gates

https://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/march2006/180306TDS.htm

^^watch this video NOW!

The US public voted in favour of Democrats earlier in the year to limit and restrict growing tensions. Now political pressure from all sides is pushing for war with Iran. this includes the very Democrats who were promising to 'get tough' on Bush and funding...

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/10/22/wclinton122.xml

Anyway, I hope you lot read this and make your own minds up. Please don't let us believe the lies AGAIN. Remember Iraq?

Thanks for listening.
Smile

Funny how - when people do make their own minds up - you roundly condemn them as warmongers or idiots. I guess it's ok for people to believe anything they like, as long as it falls in line with your own views.

The media may well be hyping up the tensions - a senior US military official was far more circumspect earlier when interviewed earlier in the week, tacitly admitting that there wasn't much left in the cupboard if an invasion was required (which it wouldn't be - the intention would be to destroy military targets, not take and hold territory).

In fact this is kind of like that black humour film whoops apoloclyse,

Good to know that the 'warmongers' aren't the only ones who allegedly fabricate problems to get excited about.

China isn't stupid either - they know they are going to win, so they will provoke some form of conflict to hasten that 'happy' day.

They could do that easily but supporting the likes of the Taliban.

Just like back in the day Russia passed weapons to the IRA to help stir things up.

Two super powers would probably never go toe to toe as it would inevitably end with the use of nuclear weapons. They are most likely to play the cat and mouse game as well as get their fingers in to as many pies as they can and stir it up for each other.

You're too slow Yoko - it's already done.

China has been stealing US military technology for decades, and is rapidly gaining influence in Africa - especially amongst the pariah states that the West (rightly) refuses to deal with. Add to that the fact that even America's economy is dependent on China, and you have a rather terrifying situation in which China has effectively already won the next cold war.

Haha, but it is a little known fact that the whole world could screw China over in a millisecond. Quite simply we could impose sanctions of no trading for say a month and then sit back and watch the already fragile Chinese economy go into meltdown. Like Spain are reliant on a bouyant tourist industry, China are absolutely reliant on trade with Europe and America.

Trouble is that it would destroy the economies of those places that imposed sanctions even more rapidly.

All the best

America says that Iran is a bad guy for supporting insurgency in a country that America invaded and is occupying. So should Iran be happy about America invading its neighbour and threatening to invade Iran ?

America destabilises its neighbours in south america for years by funding terrorists, to try to avoid hostile governments coming to power.

Why should Iran allow Iraq to become a stable launch pad for an invasion of Iran ?

So i guess Americas plan is a decade or so of sanctions to cripple the country as they did with Iraq, and then they move in to Iran, with Iraq still in a mess probably.

Saddam wasnt Hitler. Its Bush who is Hitler. Its Bush who is invading countries and threatening to invade more, not Iran.

Yes and we are reliant on them too , inflation according to official stats is about 2.5% , inflation according to people in the real world depending on what you buy is around 10-15%.

Without cheapo chinese imports we'd probably have 15-25% inflation sort of like in the 80s NL supporters berate thatcher about, and interest rates to match, say like 50-60% ? ,

I dunno about you buy if I had a mortgage and base rate went up to 60% I'd be completely snookered, and would have to sell , 1000,000s of others would do the same, which would create massive oversupply, which would cause the housing market to crash really badly,

at which the economy would utterly collaspe considering the housing market and debt against it is the only thing holding the economy together since we don't actually make anything anymore,

steel/oil/cars/toys/clothing/electronics the UK doesn't make any of this stuff anymore. (in meaningful significant quatities)

Doesn't matter what state the country is in, as long as the oil is safe.

Slant oil drilling? , kind of ironic how Saddam accused Kuwait of doing this in 91 , and we may have to resort to it ourselves!.

Shocked I never knew that. Makes you wonder where the governments loyalties lay!

World politics are pretty messed up at the moment, it seems to be stacked like a deck of cards and will only take something to give and the whole lot falls down.

Everyone seems to rely on someone else for something. If Iran/Iraq could, I'm pretty sure they wouldnt supply us with oil but they need the money as much as we need the oil. Same with China except they are far more powerful than Iran or Iraq.

Maybe when China does not need to rely on exports to the west for money it will stop exporting and leave its enemies to pay top dollar for goods, weakening their economy. Its not like America can wade in Iraq style and secure the countries export as easily as they did with Iraq.

Until a super power becomes self reliant no one is going to want to upset the balance. I think! lol

Don't think the US government sent anything there (would really doubt they did), but the USA is where a very large part of the IRA funding came from, and also the source of most of their weapons.

Doubt the Russians supplied Armalites for one hand while the ballot box was in the other Wink .
