hi just want to know can you change from using semi synthetic to fully synthetic oil. coz im not sure what oil the previous owner used in it (my nsr) and i want to use fully synthetic oil.

Well if someone knows anything it would be great but if im just being dumb tell me anyway.

You can but its best not too. Either drain the tank and start fresh or just wait till youve almost emptied it. Just dont wait too long......

Sounds like what I did...Rolling Eyes

Years ago I started off using semi-synthetic oil but was advised to switch to fully synthetic. But I was told wait till you're almost out of oil before you fill up the bike with fully synthetic. The general rule of thumb is DON'T MIX THE OIL!

i was going to wait but my oil light came on when i was 30 miles from home the only oil i could get hold of was semi. so i will have to wait again Rolling Eyes

i have done it b4 when the oil light came on and it didn't do anything, i have known people who have done it and they have had no problems, just wait till it gets low. Should u wait till ur oil light come on or is that bad? also y is fully synthetic so much better than semi? i'm using fully at the moment

If u decide to empty every bit of oil out of the tank & put new in remeber to bleed your oil pump or itll seize. Crying or Very sad

ive topped up with about 3 oils my bike runs well i dont think it does it any harm perhaps it will run better if oil is not changed, i wouldnt know
