				| mine here almost about to snap on the neck from corroding through, just copper weld em up, it would help to get a mate to do it for free, but if you can find a spare blow torch, some flux, and a copper rod then ur good to go   seal em up spary some zorst paint on and will do if you give em a clean an a respray every so often. ____________________

				| They are incredibly tidy looking pipes for a GPZ.
 I garauntee they'll rot away underneath the black, conical shaped trim leading up to the end can before the headers themselves go. It's a real water trap.
 
 High temperature paint at a minimum. If you're feeling flush do them with a phosphoric acid based rust killer then paint them.

				| I believe that comes under the auspices of 'polishing a turd'. 
 They are mild steel header pipes. They go rusty, that's life. Most people leave them as mildly rusty at the header ends. If you run the bike up to temperature on a regular basis, they don't get a massive build-up of rust.
 
 If you want shiny header pipes, buy chromed ones. Even these will go blue from the heat unless you were to have double-skinned chrome ones specially made up. Stainless and titanium will likewise discolour with heat.
 
 It's not even like you can see them very easily with the bally pan in place.
