 |
|
Hello,
Does anyone have a restriction kit for a Honda Hornet 250 which they give me the dimensions of?
I have found a nice 250 hornet in very good condition near-by, however I can just afford it with insurance, but not the restriction kit. It is a really nice bike and I would have bought it today if he had given the restriction kit out for free. Its also pretty much the only bigger bike that I can change my current policy to which I have only had for 6 months. Been wanting to buy a hornet 250 for ages, seems the right bike for me.
Any help much appreciated

Does the Hornet 250 definitely require the restriction kit? I assumed it made just about 33 bhp full derestricited... ____________________ I Ride: Honda CBR 400RR.

On the flip side FI do list a kit for it, so it must have put out more than 33bhp from the factory.
Still get a run done and see though. ____________________ My Flickr |

Find a place with a dyno and get a run first (like Ham said). If it is over then ask them if they will throttle restrict it. A garage near me does the restriction and dyno printout for £100, which is quite reasonable compared to the FI kits. ____________________ Current: MT-10, Bandit, Grom, GPZ500

The dyno's round here are about £40 a run (I think thats what my Dad's was).
I shall give them a ring tomorrow at some point and see what if they can do anything, hopefully should be able to get it sorted so I can buy the bike |
