You could get a Bandit 6 for £900, maybe not be in great nick, but it'll keep going and going.

I bought a nice VFR400 NC30 for £900. They are about for that money, you just have to look hard.

Mine had been neglected, but there was nothing seriously wrong with it. I gave it a service and replaced the dinged front wheel, and its a lovely bike.

It has MOT until april, and tax until feb, and to my mind it is a bargain.

Sure, so a major service won't be /that/ cheap, but its still ten billion times better than any chinese 125. If you want a 125, look for a cheap Honda CBR125. If you want a decent bike for £900 then just scour ebay for mid nineties 400s and 600's.

If you ditch a Ducati for a chinese 125 then you are a pratt. Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Yeah seriously if you do sell the Ducati do yourself a favour and buy anything but a Chinese bike. Check out some of mattsprattuk's threads on his stunning Lifan for reasons why. Thumbs Up

Why the hell after owning a ducati (or any decent sized bike) would you want some crappy chinese 125 Shocked

Look around and you can buy a proper bike for that. A bloke on the ZX9 forum recently was selling a 1997 ZX9 in decent nick for about £1100. Or lookon visordown - quite a few bargains come up on there.

Stop being a tart wanting shiny new plastics and you'll end up with a much better bike!

How about you give me 600 quid, I'll keep poking you till you get very angry and leave you with a piece of rust resembling a bike, It's a better deal than buying that bike, honest, I'll even piss on your shoes for free.

It wasn't a very good one though only does 95 miles on £17 of fuel. Shocked Thats only about 27 mpg.

As far as I'm aware the bandit 600 has a 16litre fuel tank, and to fit £17 in it it'd have to be more expensive fuel and when the reserve's all been used too - Which also makes it LESS miles per gallon!
