Mines with choice quote at the moment. Although it's always best to shop around.

no such thing as the cheapest... People tell me they get the best deals with Bennets or Carole Nash etc. It really depends on your personal situation and how the insurer views your particular risk, whether they have any special deals on, if they have targets to meet and if they are willing to compete with other insurers.

The only way for you to find the best quote for you is to ring round a number of insurers yourself. And not just listen to what others tell you as you're unlikely to find the same situation.

For your information: I had to renew my insurance last night. My personal situation is 25, male, highest risk postcode, ZX-6R, <0 Full License, 1 year NCB, no criminal/road offenses or claims. I found the best deals with ebike and MCE, then after ringing around I was offered a slightly better offer via Equity Red Star who could provide me with a matched price, but interest free installments payment package (saving me around £100). The highest quote I received was via Swinton which was £700 higher than what I eventually paid. Carole Nash, Bennetts, Motorcycle Direct and Bikesure all couldn't even come close to my best price.

Tim

PS: It really is worth ringing round, they all provide free phone numbers and it's likely to only take a maximum of 90 mins of your time. I saved around £250 off my starting quotes which I think was easily worth the hours work it took.

Best bet is to keep ringing around.

Play them off one another.

Tend to be the cheapest for younger riders on sports bikes Thumbs Up

Their breakdown cover is a bargain as well. They also do helmet and leather insurance.

Very strange! I found I could get insured on a ZX9R for CHEAPER than a ZX6R for some reason when I was trying (granted the ZX6R was newer, but I'm 19!).

ZX6R is a full on monster of a sports bike capable of ourgunning alot of 1000cc bikes, ZX9R has become a bit of a lardy tourer over time.

E-bike have been very cheap for a lot of people but they are absolutely useless when it comes to claims. A mate of mine has been tied up for six months with these useless muppets as he can never get hold of a human to talk to about his (very straightforward, fully comp) claim.

Cheers

If you're going for a cheap policy, be extra sure to read the terms and conditions. I thought about Bennetts as they were dirt cheap but the policy didn't include pillion or riding other bikes and they wanted £30 admin fee every time I changed bike or details. A quick search on here was the final straw.
